How do I know if counselling is right for me?

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, low in mood, or simply in need of someone impartial to talk to, counselling can help. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy — it’s a space to explore whatever feels important to you.

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We’ll talk about what has brought you to therapy, what you hope to gain from our work together, and whether you feel comfortable moving forward.

Sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place weekly, although we can discuss a schedule that works best for you.

This varies from person to person. Some clients benefit from short-term support over 6–12 sessions, while others prefer longer-term therapy. We will review your progress together as we go.

Yes, confidentiality is a core part of therapy. Everything discussed in sessions remains private, with the exception of rare situations where there is a risk of serious harm. This will be clearly explained during our first meeting.

Yes, I offer both in-person and secure online sessions, providing flexibility depending on your preference and circumstances.

Fees are payable in advance of each session. I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations; sessions cancelled with less notice may be charged in full.
